How to Customize the Design of Proposals

Once you've written your content and have your preview up, you get to focus on the aesthetic design of your proposal.

Here, you have several options. You can go as far as downloading a custom design template and uniquely branding your proposal how you want it.

Even if you don't opt for the custom template, you can still customize the look of your proposal in ways that will help match your brand and make your proposal look professional and design savvy.

Choosing a Cover Page

One of the first things you'll want to do is choose a cover design. We have several available; you just select the one you want from the dropdown menu.

Page Breaks

One of the simplest and most functional tools here is the page breaks. You can access those in the Preview mode of your proposal and click on "Page Breaks" in the top left corner:

This way, if you want to avoid breaking up your paragraphs in the PDF, you can insert a page break at the beginning of a section so that it appears at the top of the page:

Customizing Your Content

For the rest of your customizations you'll use the "Customize" button:

The section on the left is just for the cover page. This allows you to control the background color, heading and subheading font and color, and content font and color.

The section on the right is for your content pages. From here you can format how your fees look, as well as the font and color of your headings, subheadings, and content text.

Once you've made the changes you want, just click the "Apply & Close" button.

With these tools, you can match your proposal's colors with your logo, or have more overall control over how it looks.
