How to Import an Existing Template
You can import an existing proposal or template from your desktop into your Bidsketch account. So, for example, if you have a Microsoft Word or PDF template that you've been using, you can put your template into Bidsketch and continue using it.
First, import the sections (or the fees, as a matter of preference). Click on the “sections" link in your Bidsketch navigation menu. Now, click the “new section" button to create a new section.
Next, copy and paste the name and content of this first section of text from your Word or PDF document.
You can use the toolbar editor to adjust formatting as needed. If there are any names in your content, replace those with Bidsketch variables.
Click on the “save" button, and you're done. Do this with all of your text, breaking it up into appropriate opening and closing sections.
Importing Fees
Now you can import your fees. Click on the “fees" link in the navigation menu, and click on the “new fee" button.
Fees are formatted much like sections, except you'll include the monetary value. Copy and paste the name, description, and amount of your fee from your template.
Format your fee type using this menu.
You can use the toolbar editor to adjust formatting as needed. Click on the “save" button, and you're done. Repeat this process for all of your fees.
Now that you've imported all of the content from your template, you'll be able to add your newly imported sections and fees to any proposal.
